Description
Running 5 different routes in rapid succession trains both the QB and WR to execute each pattern with precision. This drill builds route-running muscle memory and QB timing in a single focused session.
Instructions
- WR lines up at the LOS.
- WR runs a slant route. QB throws. Reset.
- WR runs an out route. QB throws. Reset.
- WR runs a curl route. QB throws. Reset.
- WR runs a post route. QB throws. Reset.
- WR runs a corner route. QB throws. Reset.
- Rotate WR. Repeat full sequence.
Points to Stress
- Sell the route before the break — make the defender think you're going somewhere else.
- Drive off your plant foot hard at every break.
- Hit the exact depth before you cut — don't cut early.
- QB: trust the route, throw to the spot.
