Three receivers clustered together create natural picks and make it nearly impossible for man defenders to stay with their assignment. Play 3 is designed to attack over the top of the bunch once the underneath defenders collapse. Your QB should hold the ball for just a beat to let the routes develop, then fire to the receiver breaking deep.
