Play Notes
Trips Play 3 uses three receivers to one side to flood a zone and force a defender to cover two routes at once. Your QB should identify whether the defense is in man or zone before the snap — in man, look for the outside receiver; in zone, find the receiver sitting in the open hole. The center on the backside is always a check-down option if the Trips side is covered. This play works best when you've already run a few plays from the same formation.
