6v6 Air Raid Classics
Spread passing concepts adapted for 6-on-6 flag football
About This Collection
6v6 flag football adds a center to the mix, opening up the short passing game and giving the quarterback an extra check-down option on every snap. This collection takes Air Raid passing principles and builds them around that extra dimension, using the center as a built-in safety valve while stretching the field with four-receiver concepts.
Using the Center as a Weapon
In most 6v6 rulesets, the center becomes eligible immediately after the snap. Air Raid Classics for 6v6 puts the center in conflict with linebackers and underneath defenders, forcing the coverage to account for a fifth route on every play. This opens windows outside for your faster receivers and makes the defense pay for overcommitting.
Route Combinations That Create Space
These plays use crossing routes, floods, and high-low concepts that exploit zone soft spots and create natural picks against man coverage. The read progressions are built to be quick — your quarterback should be able to process the look and release the ball without hesitation, even under pressure from a pass rusher.
