Play Notes
The QB Option puts the ball in your running back's hands with the freedom to run or throw based on what the defense gives him. This is a great gadget play if you have an athletic back who can throw on the run. The key is getting the HB outside the tackle box before he makes his decision — if a defender crashes, he throws; if he gets space, he tucks it and runs. Use it sparingly but keep it in your back pocket for a big play moment.
