Two-QB Rapid-Fire Route Drill
Two receivers run routes on opposite sides and the QB alternates throws — left, then right — on back-to-back snaps to build field vision and quick decision-making.
Two-QB Rapid-Fire Route Drill
DrillDescription
This drill trains QBs to look off receivers and go through a progression quickly. By removing the reading and running through two targets in rapid succession, QBs build the habit of keeping their eyes moving and distributing the ball before the rush arrives.
How to run it
- 1
WR1 lines up on the left. WR2 lines up on the right.
- 2
QB snaps and throws to WR1 running a route on the left.
- 3
A second ball is immediately handed to the QB.
- 4
QB snaps and throws to WR2 running a mirrored route on the right.
- 5
Run 3-5 sets, then rotate receivers.
Points to stress
- Keep your eyes moving — QB: look to both sides.
- Be ready for the next snap immediately.
- WR: run your route clean and sharp — your QB has half the time.
- This is about rhythm and distribution, not arm strength.
