Sideline Catch Drill
DrillDescription
Sideline catches are some of the hardest in the game. This drill builds the spatial awareness and focus needed to make catches near the boundary — a skill that turns average receivers into playmakers.
How to run it
- 1

- 2
WR lines up at the LOS.
- 3

- 4
WR runs a route toward and along the sideline.
- 5

- 6

- 7
Add a defender for live coverage reps.
Points to stress
- Know where your feet are at all times.
- Catch the ball first — worry about your feet second.
- Don't look at the sideline while the ball is in the air.
- Stay focused through the catch — not just until you touch it.
